Budget and Finances

Basic operating expenses for the district come from property taxes assessed and collected from members of the district. In addition, the district actively pursues grants and other outside funding whenever the opportunity arises.

The board of directors is responsible for creating and maintaining the district budget and insuring that the district operates within that budget. Public involvement is vital and members are encouraged to comment at budget meetings as announced on our home page.
